You were a true roll model for me a nice kind caring and very wise man
and i now cant talk to you over the phone but when i need your advise i take time and think what you would make of the situation and that helps me through life and i thank god for the time we had together becuase there are times i think how lucky i was to have had a dad like you.love and miss you Da RIP.

You are our Angel....we miss you
John is our angel that has been taken away to watch over us from above. From the moment he entered our lives he touched all our hearts. Words cannot describe how much of a good kind person he was. He had such a huge impact on so many lives that the only way to describe him would be as an angel. He was our star. Never to put himself first, always thinking of others. He was more immature than the grankids always gettin into mischeif driving mum crazy with his water fights in the house. He only ever put the family first and went to great lengths to help anybody that needed it. To meet someone thats spends there life helping homeless get off the streets, making sure they are loved and cared for, he was one in a million. There isnt a day that goes by where he isnt in our thoughts or prayers. He's still playin pranks on mum now like turning the telly on and off when shes in bed! we no its you pop! Hes up there in heaven with all the troops, in peace and not in pain. Watchin John suffer was so hard but we now know that he is at peace no doubt with his feet up with the boys watching Celtic take the title again!
As a family he helped us through so much and we only wish that we had the chance to tell him just one more time how much he means to all of us. You are our guardian angel that watches over us and guides and protects us through evry step of our lives. we hope we make you proud! we miss you so much and love you with all our hearts. I Know I never got to know you, but I feel like I do, Marie has told me lots and you were an absolutely amazing man, what you did for your troops well what can I say. My Andrew is now up there with you , look after him for me coz im missing him like crazy. Im glad hes finally got to meet you. Marie is a wonderful person and is helping me to cope, keep watching over your lovely family. Going up to youre house soon and im coming to visit your resting place, will bring you some nice flowers.
